Is it possible for a monitor itself to trigger blue screen errors on a computer? My boyfriend owns an OLED monitor, and he's been experiencing frequent blue screens, but curiously, only when he's using his computer. He has tried resetting his PC, thinking there might be a corrupt file causing the crashes. The odd part is that everything seems to redirect to his second monitor, and he can't reboot the system properly. He even unplugged and reconnected the monitors during a reboot, which resulted in another blue screen display on the OLED monitor. Could the monitor be at fault here?

A monitor itself can’t cause blue screens; it’s typically the computer's software or hardware that's the issue. You might want to check what graphics card he’s using. If his GPU is running at a very high resolution, that could contribute to the problems. But keep in mind, blue screen errors will usually show a specific error code that you can look up for more details.
He mentioned having a powerful GPU, possibly an NVIDIA 4090 or higher, which might explain some stress on the system. It's strange that the crashes only happen when he's using it. Have you checked if everything works fine when you use the computer?
