I've heard that the Anti DDoS AMR feature is pretty new, but I'm curious if anyone has tried it out in real-world scenarios. Can it effectively guard against Layer 7 attacks like Cloudflare does?

Honestly, I think it's too early to say how well it performs. It's just been rolled out, so there aren't many real-world tests to draw from yet.
I've got some insider info on this feature! While we haven’t run extensive tests yet, here’s what you should know:
- It's integrated into AWS WAF and doesn’t need a subscription to AWS Shield Advanced.
- You can enable it across multiple applications without long-term obligations.
- The rule group can detect and mitigate Layer 7 DDoS attacks in no time, plus you won't be charged for blocked requests.
- AWS WAF can now challenge requests before blocking them to help reduce false positives, with configurable sensitivity.
- It also adapts by baselining traffic every 5 seconds and integrates insights from AWS Threat Intelligence to make informed decisions.
