Hey everyone! I'm currently facing a bit of an issue. We need to restore a snapshot from a day ago, specifically from August 21st, but our backup retention policy only kept the snapshot from August 22nd. Is there any chance that we could reach out to AWS support and ask them to make the August 21st snapshot available to us?

Looks like you're in a tough spot! If you had a one-day backup policy and now need that earlier snapshot, there's a slim chance AWS can help. It's definitely worth reaching out to them; the worst that can happen is they'll just say no. No harm in asking!

Just to clarify, we actually configured ours for 7 days, so that's why we usually don't run into this issue. But like you said, asking never hurts!
