Hey everyone! I'm heading back to university across the country in about three weeks, and I'm weighing my options about my desktop PC. I have a few ideas, but I'm stuck on whether to bring it or leave it behind. Last year I shipped it, but this semester feels different because I'm planning on studying abroad in the spring. Shipping it comes with its own hassles and costs, but not having it for a whole semester feels limiting. If I choose to bring it, I'd want to ship it soon so it's ready when I arrive, then send it back home after the fall semester since I'll be abroad for spring. That brings me to my main question: Is there a reliable way to access my PC remotely from across the country? What tools or software would I need? I'm mainly interested in gaming – will performance suffer significantly? Also, do you think it would be powerful enough to handle something like PCVR remotely? Sorry for the scattered thoughts! I appreciate any advice, info, or alternatives you might have!

You can try using Parsec or Moonlight along with Sunshine for remote access. They work pretty well for gaming and can give you decent performance as long as you have a good internet connection. Don't forget to set up Wake on LAN on your Windows PC to wake it up remotely, it can be a game changer!
Would it work well for gaming?
