Hey everyone! I'm 14 and my dad has agreed to buy me the parts for a PC if I can build it myself. I'm looking for some advice on whether I can manage to build it with the parts I've put together, and if there's anything missing or if you think there are better alternatives. I'm aiming to keep the total cost under €800. Here are the parts I've picked:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500
- GPU: MSI 912-V812-056 (Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050)
- Motherboard: ASUS Prime A520M-R
- RAM: DDR4 KINGSTON Fury Beast 16GB
- SSD: S3+ 2.5 960GB SATA 3.0
- Power Supply: Nox Hummer X 700W 80+BZ
- Case: UNYKACH GLAYZE
- Monitor: LG 27GS50F
- Keyboard: NPLAY Conquer 1.0
Do you think this setup will work? Any suggestions for better parts?

You might find better deals on prebuilt PCs or slightly used ones. I've seen decent options under €800 that offer way better specs than what you've got lined up!
Honestly, you might want to skip the RTX 3050. It's not the best for gaming. If you can find a used RX 6600, that would be a much better option. Also, be careful with the power supply; I've heard some not-so-great things about its reliability!
The Ryzen 5 5600 is a great upgrade from your choice. It’s a small price difference but worth it for the performance boost!
Make sure to check YouTube tutorials, especially from channels like JayzTwoCents for tips on building your PC. It's really helpful, especially for first-timers!
If you're open to buying secondhand parts, you could potentially get a lot of upgrades for your budget. I once snagged a GTX 3070 for about €150! Just make sure to check the condition before buying.
Good idea! I’ll look into secondhand marketplaces and see what I can find.
I would definitely avoid the 3050. A used 1080 Ti can often be found for a good price and it's a solid performer, comparable to newer mid-range cards.
For sure! A decent GPU can make a huge difference in performance. Don't compromise on that!
