Can I Build My PC Without a GPU?

Hey everyone, I have what might seem like a silly question, but I want to be sure about this. I've got all the parts for my new PC except for the GPU, which I'm waiting to buy—hoping to snag a 5070 Ti closer to MSRP since stock looks better. Is it okay to start building and setting everything up now, or will that mess things up for me later? My plan is to take care of the drivers and settings without the GPU and handle that later when it arrives.

I did something similar! I used an old GPU while waiting for my new one to arrive. It worked out just fine for initial setup and testing.

Yep! Just ensure your power supply and case are suitable for everything you're putting in, and you should be good to go. The GPU is usually one of the last pieces to add anyway, so there's no harm in assembling your rig without it.

I did what you're proposing. I built my PC while waiting for my GPU. I set everything up and downloaded my games with Steam ahead of time. Just make sure to hold off on heavy gaming until the GPU is in!

Sure thing! Just make sure you have some other way to get video output, like a CPU with integrated graphics or another older GPU. There's no need to wait to get started!

If you have integrated graphics or another GPU available, go for it! You can definitely proceed with the build.

Exactly, no reason to wait!
