Can I Combine New and Old RAM Without Issues?

I'm looking to upgrade my RAM and just got my hands on two 8GB Vengeance 3200MHz DDR4 sticks. However, I already have an existing 8GB Vengeance 3000MHz DDR4 stick installed. They both come from Corsair and are DDR4, but one of them has RGB and looks a bit different. Can I use all three sticks together without harming my PC?

You can definitely try mixing those RAM sticks, and there's no risk of damaging your PC just from trying it out. Just keep in mind that they will run at the speed of the slowest stick, which is the 3000MHz one in your case. So, you might not get the full benefit of the new sticks. Besides, having three sticks can sometimes lead to stability issues since dual-channel mode typically works best with even numbers of sticks.

It’s true, but DDR4 RAM is generally more forgiving compared to DDR5. If everything works, just remember the limits, as the speed is capped by the slower one.
