Can I connect a second router without slowing down my PC?

I'm dealing with a tricky layout in my house that makes it hard to run Ethernet cables everywhere, though I managed to get one to my PC. Right now, I only have a single cable. If I buy a second router and connect it to the main router, will that slow down my PC's connection? Apologies for any grammar mistakes; English isn't my first language.

Setting up the second router as an access point might be the best route! This way, your PC’s speed should remain intact since the connection will be passed through directly. If you use it as a full router, you could experience some latency, but typically, it won't be a big issue for everyday tasks.

You could just use a network switch instead. It's a simple way to connect multiple devices to your single Ethernet line without any speed loss.

Yes, connecting a second router is an option, but I'd recommend getting a switch if you're just looking to extend the connection without needing WiFi at that end. If you need WiFi, the second router can work, but make sure it's set up right to avoid any lag.
