Can I Connect My PC to My TV Through My Router?

I'm trying to set up my TV so that I can mirror my PC screen, but I'm running into some obstacles. My PC is connected to the router via Ethernet, and my TV is connected to the same router through Wi-Fi. I can't seem to find a way to connect these devices, even though they both connect to the router. My PC doesn't have a Wi-Fi card, and I can't find any indication that it supports Miracast. The 'detect monitor' function also doesn't find the TV. Any help would be much appreciated!

Miracast relies on Wi-Fi Direct, so if your PC doesn't support it, you'll need a Wi-Fi USB dongle. Even a cheap one should help you out, but make sure it’s decent enough to maintain a stable connection!

I’m okay with getting new hardware if that’s what it takes. But I didn’t see Miracast anywhere on my PC—does that mean it’s not an option for me?
