Can I Connect Two HDDs to the Same Port?

I have a DVR that mentions it supports two ports. The power cable has a split that leads to two plugs. Should I connect the second HDD to the second part of that power plug or use a different port entirely? Thanks for any advice!

You're looking at the power cables there! Just plug one end of the split into each HDD. Remember, the blue cable you see is the data cable (SATA), and each HDD will need its own separate SATA cable to connect.

Thank you!

Also, SATA cables usually don't come with the HDDs, so you might need to order some separately. Just a heads up!

Got it, thanks! By the way, if my DVR suggests a total capacity of 12TB, does that mean I can't record more than that even if I add a 16TB HDD?
