I'm thinking about showcasing some of my old GPUs on a shelf since I see them as a form of art. Right now, I've kept them safely in antistatic bags, but I'm curious if it's okay to take them out and display them. Will they be safe just sitting there?

I've had some GPUs lying around for months and they were perfectly fine. Just don’t intentionally zap them with ESD or anything, and they should hold up well.
No, seriously, just keep them off the fridge, and you'd be fine! Display away!
Just cover the PCIe connector and try not to dust them too aggressively. They're more durable than we think.
If you have modern GPUs that might still fetch a good price, consider selling them instead. I found that keeping backups isn't really worth it anymore, plus local used GPUs are pretty easy to find if you ever need one. I still have my very first GPU for nostalgic reasons, even though it's not worth much and I'm okay if it gets a little damaged.
Just a heads-up, if you have more than one on your shelf, be careful—I've heard they might start to 'mate'! You don't want a whole GPU family taking over your space. 😂
Yeah, it’s totally fine to display them! No one’s going to come after you for it. Just keep in mind that if you ever plan to sell or use them again, they might not be in the best shape if they’re out in the open. But if they're mostly just for show, go for it!
