Hey everyone, I'm thinking about upgrading my motherboard from a Biostar B450MHP to a B550M PRO-VDH WIFI, and I'm curious if I'll be able to enable Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) in the BIOS. My current setup doesn't have that option even after the latest BIOS update. Also, I noticed that my Ryzen 7 5700X3D never boosts past 3.00 GHz. Will this new motherboard make a difference?

Unfortunately, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D is locked from using PBO. There is a complicated workaround, but you'll need to check out some guides online for that. Also, the reason your CPU isn’t going above 3.00 GHz might be due to your current motherboard throttling it to prevent overheating of the VRMs. The B550 should offer better power delivery, so you might see better performance once you switch.
So when you say throttling, does that really mean it's preventing the CPU from hitting higher speeds? I mean, during stress tests, my CPU stays under 67°C, and my current board only has a 4-pin CPU connector.
