Can I Get More Unique Mouse Button Bindings?

I'm really frustrated here! My mouse has more than five buttons, and I'm trying to figure out how to make them work as unique mouse buttons like MB6, MB7, etc. I don't want them to act like media keys or just mimic keyboard buttons. I've been searching for a solution for ages, and I'm at my wit's end. Is it even possible to achieve this? Also, if you're just here to leave negative comments, please skip it!

It depends a lot on your specific mouse model. There are mice designed to have many buttons, but if they don’t support custom macros, you might be out of luck. Make sure your mouse supports the features you want before sticking with it.

Mine does have macro capabilities, but I'm struggling with making those buttons register as MB6 instead of random keyboard or media commands.

You might want a custom solution, like a DuckyPad built like a mouse. That could give you the flexibility you need for all those buttons without messing with existing settings.

You can definitely rebind the buttons! It usually comes down to the software that comes with your mouse or you can use tools like PowerToys or AutoHotkey to customize them.

That's cool and all, but how do I make sure they are recognized as actual unique keys and not just re-mapped to something else?
