I'm considering mixing my old HyperX FURY DDR4-3200 MHz RAM with a new Kingston FURY kit. The specs for both kits are the same (DDR4-3200 MHz, CL16, 1.35V, 2x8 GB). Is it safe to do this, or should I stick to a single brand?

Compatibility and stability can depend on the memory chips used, which can differ even within the same brand. While matching specs helps, mixing RAM can reduce your odds of a smooth experience. If everything matches in speed and timings, you might be fine, but there's no guarantee!
RAM manufacturers often change the chip dies without announcing it, which can lead to unexpected issues like stuttering when mixing different brands. If you check that the memory dies are the same, you should have a better chance at success. There are tools available to check this.
It's usually safe to mix RAM, but performance can vary. The only way to know for sure if they'll work well together is to give it a shot. Just keep your expectations in check!
Thanks for the tip!
Mixing different RAM sticks usually works, but it typically runs at the base speed, which is around 2800 MHz. I had success running a Corsair 8GB stick with a Hyper Tough 16GB stick before. It's different for everyone, so I'd say go ahead and try it out! Let us know how it goes!
Just keep your RAM sticks paired correctly in the channels, and you should be alright. Keep an eye out, though; you might need to run them at a lower speed for system stability. Just something to watch out for!
Appreciate the insight!
