I currently have 8GB of DDR4 RAM with a CAS Latency (CL) of 15. If I completely swap out my RAM, is it possible to install RAM with a different CL? For instance, could I use RAM that's rated for CL22?

When you replace your RAM entirely, the specifications of the old RAM won't affect the new one. So, feel free to choose different CAS Latencies when you upgrade!
Absolutely! You can change to whatever RAM you prefer. CL16 or CL18 is often recommended for DDR4, but you can definitely go for CL22 if that's what you find.
Yes, you can use RAM with a different CL, but just keep in mind that the slower latency might not perform as well as your current RAM. Still, it's totally okay to mix things up!
