Can I Play RE Requiem on My PC Even If I Don’t Meet All the Requirements?

I'm really excited about playing RE Requiem, but I've only got a PS4 at home. I checked my PC specs using a compatibility checker, and it says I'm falling short on the CPU and OS requirements. The game needs an Intel i5 8500, but I have an Intel i5 7400, plus it requires Windows 11, and I'm still on Windows 10. I usually don't game on my PC because it's mainly for work; I'm an architect and I need it for heavy software tasks. My graphics card is an RTX 2070 Super, which seems fine for the game. I also have a bit of anxiety about damaging my PC since I've burned out two graphics cards back in college while playing Skyrim. Can anyone give me some advice on whether I can safely try playing this game despite not meeting a few of the minimum specs?

You shouldn't worry too much about damaging your PC if you try running a game that might be too demanding. Most modern PCs have safety mechanisms in place, and if temperatures rise too high, your system will throttle itself. Plus, the fact that you're using an RTX 2070 Super means your graphics capability is solid! Just make sure your cooling is good.

That makes sense! I had a cooling issue back in the day, and maybe that's why I fried my GPUs. Just keep an eye on your temps while gaming!
