I recently switched to a new iPhone 15 provided by work, but it has a Verizon phone number associated with it. I'm currently using T-Mobile and want to know if there's a way to unlink the Verizon number so I can transfer my data from my old iPhone 11. Is the new phone useless without Verizon, or do I have options?

Just a heads-up! If the phone is locked to Verizon, it can be tricky to make it work with another carrier. It'll definitely help if IT supports you getting it unlocked. Otherwise, if you can't transfer the number, you should still be able to use the phone with Wi-Fi for apps if you set up VOIP.
The phone number is linked to your SIM card, not the device itself. If your iPhone isn’t locked to Verizon, you can add your T-Mobile number and use dual SIM functionality. Otherwise, if it's locked, you might need the help of your workplace's IT department to unlock it. If that doesn’t work, consider using a VOIP app for your calls instead.
