I've got an old iPhone 11 with a lifted battery that I haven't used in a while. I found a local shop that can dispose of it, but I'm a bit worried that someone could repair it and access my data. I've tried turning it on, but it doesn't work anymore. I used the 'delete device' option on Find My iPhone, and it says my data will be deleted once it connects to Wi-Fi. I'm hoping that no one can turn it on again, and even if they could, they wouldn't be able to access my stuff without my password. Is it safe to go ahead and dispose of it since I know keeping it could be dangerous?

I wouldn't be that sure about it being impossible to break the iOS password, though. While it's unlikely anyone would go to that level of effort, it's not accurate to say it's completely impossible. It's better to be on the safe side. If you're uncomfortable, you might want to look into more secure disposal options instead.
It sounds like your data should be pretty safe! Even if someone managed to repair it, cracking the iOS password is extremely difficult, so you shouldn't worry too much. If the only issue is the battery, consider selling it or donating it for parts. Someone could replace the battery and get some extra use out of it.
