Can I Still Charge My iPhone 14 After It Fell in Water?

Hey everyone! So I accidentally dropped my iPhone 14 into a river but luckily caught it with my other hand. I only got a notification about water in the charging port. I've let it dry out, but now it's charging slower than normal. Is it okay if I don't charge it overnight? I'm worried it might not charge properly if I fall asleep. Thanks for any advice!

Sounds like you handled it pretty well! Just let that charging port dry completely before using it again. The iPhone 14 is designed to resist water, so you should be alright. Just keep an eye on it as slow charging can be a sign of lingering moisture.

Totally agree, just give it a few days. If it keeps charging slowly, maybe try some wireless charging to help things along.

It might be a good idea to take it in for a check-up, especially if you're worried about future issues. Sometimes moisture can sneak in further than you can see. But if it’s still charging fine now, that’s promising!

Yeah, I had a similar issue, and a quick visit to the repair shop fixed it. If the warranty is still good, that’s even better!
