Hey folks! I've got a CPU cooler that I'm trying to repair, but I want to avoid mounting it on a motherboard. I picked up a USB-to-fan adapter, but I'm a bit uncertain if it's going to do the trick. The issue is that the fans are hitting against the heatsink. Do you think the adapter I bought will work for this purpose? Here's the link to it: [USB-Fan Adapter](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D59PNBK7?psc=1&smid=A2LZP99XORN4MN&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp). Also, here's the cooler model I'm working with: [Cooler Master MA610P](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/yrfnTW/cooler-master-masterair-ma610p-argb-62-cfm-cpu-cooler-map-t6pn-218pa-r1). Thanks for any help!

It's pretty much impossible to test a CPU cooler without a motherboard in the equation. You really need the motherboard to power the cooler properly and control the fans' speeds.
Is it an AIO cooler or an air cooler?
It's an air cooler. I just need to power up the fans to stop that rubbing sound.
