I recently graduated and received an ASUS VivoBook 17 (x1704) with 500GB of storage as a gift. I want to know if I can install my 1TB SSD from my previous HP 14-dq1xxx laptop into the new one, especially since I can't see an extra slot for another SSD. Is it feasible to make this switch?

First, are you sure both SSDs are the same type? If they’re the same form factor, like M.2 or 2.5-inch, you should be good to swap them around! Just make sure to power down your laptop before you start messing with hardware.

I tried moving my old SSD, and while it fit, Windows booted to a blue screen. I had to adjust the boot order in BIOS, and it finally booted up, but I couldn't connect to the internet. I think it might be driver issues?
