Can I Transfer My SSD to a New Computer?

Hey everyone, I recently inherited my father's desktop after he passed away, and it's got some impressive specs compared to my current machine. I'm wondering if I can simply take the SSD from my setup and install it in his computer. Will this automatically transfer my Windows 10 and all my data to the new machine, or are there any hiccups I should expect?

It might work, but keep in mind that if your father’s PC is a prebuilt one, the Windows license could be tied to that machine's motherboard. That might require you to buy a new license.

Oh, I see! Yes, mine is also a prebuilt HP, but his was custom-built. It sounds like I might be in a tricky spot with the license then.
