Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy an old office PC on eBay or Facebook and upgrade it into a gaming rig. I'm planning to add a GPU (and possibly upgrade the RAM and PSU too) to play games like Rust, DayZ, Ready or Not, and some indie titles at a decent performance level. Any suggestions on which models to look for to keep it both powerful and budget-friendly? I'm totally fine with making some modifications to get it working. Also, if you have ideas for non-office PC solutions, I'm all ears. I'm based in England, so thanks in advance! 😊

Honestly, by the time you swap out enough parts, you might as well just buy a new PC. It could save you a lot of hassle and money in the long run.
You’ll want to avoid getting any newer HP or Dell desktops, stick to something that's standard ATX. That way, you'll have more upgrade options down the line.
Check out the OptiPlex 3080 series! They’re pretty affordable, have a 10th Gen Intel chip, and some of the small form factor models can accommodate low-profile GPUs if you’re on a budget.
Do you have any recommendations for a new PC? I've heard that using an AM4 motherboard with Ryzen might be a solid choice.
