Hey everyone! I recently got my hands on an Optiplex 5050 SFF and a GTX 1660 Super for free. I've managed to get the PC up and running, but I'm hesitant about connecting the GPU because it requires an 8-pin connector. I'm not worried about fitting everything into the case; I just want to know if I can actually connect it to the power supply. The PSU has a maximum output power of 180W, and I'm concerned that might be too low. If that's the case, is there a way to underclock the GPU or use an adapter to make things work? Any advice on how to get this rig gaming-ready for something like Elden Ring would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, you probably won't be able to connect that GPU to the factory power supply. The power supply is quite limited and designed for basic tasks, so it wouldn't handle the demands of a GTX 1660 Super. Plus, it's proprietary, which makes upgrades a bit tricky.

That's pretty disappointing news, thanks for the heads up!
