I have a 6th generation i5 with 8GB of RAM and currently no graphics card. It runs older games like CODMW3 pretty well, but I'm curious if I can upgrade it enough to handle newer games at 60fps or more. I'm thinking about adding a decent graphics card that won't break the bank. Any recommendations?

To upgrade your old PC for modern gaming, you definitely need to invest in a graphics card. Given the age of your hardware, it might not make sense to sink too much money into it. If you're on a tight budget, consider a used GTX 1070, which should let you enjoy games from around 2010 to 2017 with good settings. Just remember, your CPU will still hold you back for the latest titles.
Thanks for the advice! I'm trying to get the most out of what I have. Do you think the GTX 1070 will let me play something like GTA 5 at decent settings?
