Can I Use 6000MHz RAM with My MSI B850 Motherboard?

I'm looking to buy the MSI B850 motherboard (you can check the specs [here](https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B850-GAMING-PLUS-WIFI/Specification)) to pair with some G.Skill 6000MHz RAM. The official specs mention support for 5600MHz and 8000MHz, but I'm worried if that means I can only use those exact speeds. Is it okay to use RAM at 6000MHz, or do I need to stick to what's listed?

The range between 5600MHz and 8000MHz means that any speed in between, like 6000MHz, should definitely be supported. You’re good to go!

Definitely go for the DDR5-6000 CL30. It's a solid choice for your CPU and board combo, and it really hits that sweet spot for performance with AMD processors.

That's reassuring! I was worried since most manuals are quite clear on the supported speeds. Glad to hear 6000MHz will fit.

You don’t need to use the exact speeds listed in the manual. The motherboard supports a range of RAM speeds, so 6000MHz should work just fine, even though the manual lists 5600MHz and 8000MHz as the official specs.
