Can I Use a 5V 2A or 5V 4A Charger for My Phone?

My phone charger (5V 2.5A) recently stopped working unexpectedly, and I initially thought it was just the cable. Now I have two other chargers at home: one is 5V 2A and the other is 5V 4A. Both support fast charging. I'm wondering if I should use the 5V 4A charger for faster charging, but I'm also concerned about the longevity and safety of my battery. Should I consider buying a new 5V 2.5A charger, or can I safely use either of the chargers I have? Speed isn't my top priority; I just want what's best for my phone.

You can go ahead and use the 5V 4A charger. Your phone will only draw the amount of current it can safely handle, so there's no worry about overloading it. In fact, charging speed typically doesn't impact battery health as much as keeping it within the 40% to 80% charge range does. You might not even need to buy a new charger!

Thanks for clarifying! What about using the 5V 2A charger? Is it less safe than the 4A?

Not at all! The 2A charger is completely safe as well. It's just slower, but if that's not an issue for you, it's definitely usable.
