I'm using an EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GM SFX PSU Gold, but it only comes with two VGA connectors for the GPU. I was wondering if I could safely use one of the CPU connectors as a third PCI-E connection for my Asus Prime 5080 GPU. I've heard different opinions on this, so I'd like to know if it's a viable option or if I should find another solution. Thanks!

Actually, most PSUs have cables that allow for dual 8-pin PCIe connectors, so you probably have enough connections for your 5080. But be mindful about daisy chaining them, as that can sometimes lead to issues if your GPU needs more power than the cables can provide. It’s considered safe, just not the ideal way to set it up.
No, you shouldn’t use a CPU connector for your GPU. The pinouts are different, so it’s not compatible and can potentially lead to problems.

Yeah, I get wanting to avoid daisy chaining, but since high-quality cables can handle more power than you might think, it could be okay if you're careful!
