Can I use a DisplayPort to DVI adapter for my 2560×1080 monitor?

Hey everyone! My HDMI port has broken, and now I only have DVI as an output option. I own a 2560x1080 monitor that accepts HDMI, DisplayPort, and mini-DisplayPort inputs. I'm considering purchasing a USB-powered DisplayPort to DVI Dual-Link Active Adapter to connect my devices. Here's the link to the one I'm looking at: [StarTech DisplayPort to DVI Adapter](https://www.startech.com/en-eu/display-video-adapters/mdp2dvid) (I'll be using a Male DVI-D Dual Link to Male DVI-D Dual Link Cable). For reference, my specs are as follows: B450 AORUS M motherboard, AMD Ryzen 5 3400G CPU/GPU with Radeon Vega Graphics, and a BenQ XR3501 monitor. Any thoughts on this setup?

Honestly, I've had pretty bad luck with active adapters for DVI-DL. I’d recommend replacing the broken HDMI part instead, especially since your DVI output might not even be dual-link, making the adapter useless.
