Can I use a DP to HDMI converter to get 1440p at 180Hz on my Xbox Series X?

I have a 1440p monitor that can run at 180Hz with DisplayPort 1.4, but only at 144Hz using HDMI 2.0b. I'm thinking about using a DisplayPort to HDMI converter paired with an ultra high-speed HDMI cable to connect my Xbox Series X. Would this setup let me achieve 1440p at 180Hz?

Just straight up no; you won't get 180Hz from this setup. Also, the Xbox isn't powerful enough to make full use of that refresh rate at 1440p.

Nope, it's unlikely to work as you hope. The DP to HDMI converters often don’t deliver the intended results. Plus, the Xbox Series X won’t really push 180Hz at 1440p anyway, so you might hit a wall there.

You just need a better HDMI cable that supports higher speeds. However, keep in mind that the port on your monitor is HDMI 2.0b, so there's a limit to what you can achieve. The converter may help, but make sure you have a quality cable to avoid any issues.

The port on the monitor is 2.0b, so the cable's specs might not influence it much.
