Hey everyone! I'm not the most tech-savvy person, so I could really use some advice here. I'm thinking about getting a Lenovo 32" All-In-One to replace my old 2012 Sony All-In-One. I've been using the Sony as a second monitor for a while since it has an HDMI input. However, the Lenovo model I'm looking at only has an HDMI output and a couple of USB-C ports. Is there a way to use those USB-C ports to connect my laptop and extend the display? Thanks for any help you can provide!

It's a bit tricky with those AIOs. The USB-C ports might not really help unless they're configured for video input, which is rare. If you can't find any specs mentioning USB-C video support for your model, you might want to consider alternative solutions like a USB display adapter that could connect to your laptop and allow for more flexible display options. Just a thought!
To use a Lenovo AIO as a second monitor, you generally need it to have a video input. Since your Lenovo has only HDMI output and USB-C ports, unfortunately, it won't be able to function as a second monitor for your laptop directly. You typically can't use USB-C for video input unless it specifically supports DisplayPort over USB-C, and most AIOs are designed to output to other displays rather than receive input. I'd suggest looking up the specific model's specs or checking if it supports any kind of video input through USB-C. Good luck!
