I'm currently using DSL for my home internet, but I'm about to switch to a new provider that doesn't support DSL. I don't want to go through the hassle of having a coaxial cable outlet installed. Is it possible to use a MoCa adapter with my existing setup?

MoCa and DSL use different types of wiring. While MoCa relies on coaxial cables, DSL depends on phone lines. If your phone wiring is in good condition, without splits or connections, there's a small chance you could repurpose them for Ethernet, but that's not the standard route. For most cases, it's best to install coaxial lines for MoCa adapters to work effectively.
Unfortunately, you can't use a MoCa adapter for DSL. MoCa adapters require coaxial cable, while DSL operates over phone lines. If you want to transition to a new service that doesn't use DSL, you'll likely need the ISP to run a coaxial line from the pole to your home to set it up properly.
Yeah, I get the confusion! Crimping an Ethernet connector onto phone wire seems odd, but if you have good quality wiring, it might work. Just remember, Ethernet cables typically have more wires, so you should consider that if you're thinking about adapting wires.
