Can I Use a Split PCIe Cable for My New GPU Temporarily?

I'm in the process of upgrading my graphics card from a 3070 Ti to a 5070 Ti, and both have a similar thermal design power (TDP) of about 300 W. Currently, I'm using two 8-pin PCIe cables from my be quiet! Straight Power 11 750 W 80 Plus Gold power supply. The issue is that the new GPU requires three 8-pin connectors, and the only PCIe cable I have left is a split (or pigtail) type. Is it safe to use the pigtail setup for a couple of days, or should I just wait for my 12VHPWR to dual 8-pin adapter to arrive? I've made a little diagram to clarify my situation, and I've read some opinions indicating that this might be okay, but I want to be sure before proceeding.

My PSU manual actually mentions it's fine to use a setup like that permanently. But, I might have misunderstood the specific cable in question. I'd recommend checking your power supply manual just to be safe.

Thanks for the info! I assumed it would be okay too, but I plan to switch to the proper adapter once it arrives, just to keep things neat.
