Hey everyone! I'm trying to set up my new RTX 5080 and I'm a bit stuck. I got the triple squid 12VHPWR Nvidia adapter with it, but I only have two 8-pin PCIe connectors available from my 2019 Seasonic Focus GX 750W power supply. Can I use just those two connectors with the adapter? If that doesn't work, I'm also wondering if it's possible to connect one of the daisy plug connectors from the 8-pin cables to the third socket on the adapter. My PSU revision ID is SSR-750FX. I appreciate any guidance you can provide!

All connections are actually required for the GPU to start properly. Using a daisy chain can really increase the risk of overheating, which isn't great. You might want to consider upgrading your PSU if you can swing it, as that would give you a much safer setup.
Yeah, you can definitely use that daisy plug for the third connection if you only have two 8-pin cables. It's not the ideal setup, but it'll allow your GPU to get power. Just be cautious with that arrangement!

If I have to buy new modular PCIe cables, how can I make sure I get the right ones that won't mess up my PSU because of a pinout issue? Just checking since I don't have any extra PCIe sockets left on my PSU.
