Can I Use an NVMe Drive for Windows Installation?

I'm curious if there's a way to use an NVMe drive as an installation drive for Windows. I typically use Rufus for this, but I'm wondering if there's a specific adapter or enclosure that would allow the media creation tools to recognize the NVMe drive as a USB drive.

Using an NVMe SSD for Windows installation might not be necessary since a USB 3.0 flash drive can provide nearly the same speed. Rufus does support it, but the Windows Media Creation Tool won’t recognize it natively.

Is there a specific device or method that lets Rufus work with NVMe drives?
