I recently purchased an ASUS ROG Strix 1200W Gold Aura Edition PSU from an Amazon warehouse, but it didn't include the CPU 4+4 pin cables. I have an ASUS ROG Strix 850W Gold Aura Edition PSU available, and I'm wondering if I can safely use its CPU cable with the new PSU without causing any issues. What do you think?

Honestly, the safest route is to reach out to ASUS directly for clarification. Cables can vary a lot and using the wrong ones might seriously damage your system.
Unless the cables are from the exact same model, I would advise against it. Different brands, like EVGA, have had differing pinouts between models, which makes it risky to reuse cables. You could try to compare the pinouts if you're comfortable with that, but I personally wouldn’t take the chance. Just get the correct cables for your new PSU. Using the wrong ones could fry your components!
Exactly! ASUS is pretty consistent with their cables. It's always safer to stick to the right ones though.
That happens quite a bit! But in this case, both PSUs actually have matching pinouts, so you're good to go this time. Just be careful in the future!
