I recently tried out the KDE Plasma desktop and was really impressed by some of the built-in tools it offers, like KDE Connect, clipboard history, and an emoji picker. However, I primarily use Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop, and I'd love to find a way to get at least the clipboard history feature, which is displayed as a widget in the toolbar on KDE. I'm not interested in switching to KDE Plasma because I find Cinnamon more stable and faster for daily use. Are there any options for using these KDE tools in Cinnamon?

While some KDE tools might not be directly ported to Cinnamon, installing them often works seamlessly. Applications like CopyQ for clipboard management and other independent utilities can be installed. Cinnamon may even have its plugin for clipboard history. It's worth checking your software manager or looking for alternatives that fit your needs.
You can definitely use some KDE tools on any desktop environment without needing to fully switch to KDE Plasma. For instance, KDE Connect works great anywhere. As for clipboard managers, there are alternatives like CopyQ that can give you similar functionality without the full KDE setup. Just install the individual applications you want, and they should work fine.
I feel you on the stability part! KDE tools like KDE Connect are universal and can function outside of Plasma. Just remember, not all features will match what you get in KDE Plasma, so you might need to experiment with different programs for clipboard management and emojis.
Totally! Plus, things like performance and how fast they load can vary based on the tools you're using. Just gives you more options to find what works best!
Yeah, exactly! You don’t need to take the entire KDE environment; just grab the specific tools you need.
