Can I Use Mixed Isopropyl Alcohol on Electronics?

I have a small vial that I want to fill with isopropyl alcohol for cleaning purposes, but I don't have pure iso. I only have a solution that contains isopropyl along with a first aid antiseptic. I'm worried that it might not be safe for my electronic components and could cause damage. Any advice?

Just a side note: your 'little vile' sounded kinda funny! But back to the question, if your mix is 70% isopropyl and 30% water, it’s not ideal for tech use. The water in it can take a while to evaporate and could lead to issues. Better to find a higher concentration of isopropyl!

Thanks for clarifying that! I'm definitely looking for a better option.

Isopropyl alcohol is generally safe for electronics as it doesn’t leave a residue when it evaporates. However, if your mixture includes other ingredients, especially something like water or antiseptics, it could leave sediment behind, which might harm your tech. Stick to pure isopropyl whenever possible for cleaning electronics!
