Can I Use My Headphones with a Single 3.5mm Jack on My PC’s Dual Jacks?

I'm wondering if I can plug my headphones, which have a single 3.5mm jack for both audio and mic, into my PC that has two separate jacks for mic and output. I don't plan on using the built-in mic on my headphones since I have an external one that I'll be using instead.

Did you try just plugging your headphones into the headphone jack to see if it works?

Nah, I don't actually have the PC yet!

Any recommendations for a good extension cord to use with the splitter? I'm looking for something that maintains sound quality.

If your headphones have a single 3.5mm plug for both mic and audio, you'll need a splitter to use them with your PC's dual jacks. Here’s one I found that works well: [link].

Gotcha! I knew those splitters existed but wasn't sure which were reliable.
