I received a LAN cable from my WiFi provider directly to my router, but my router doesn't have a WAN port. Is it possible to use this setup like a standard WiFi router? If so, how would I go about doing that?

In many cases, those ISP-given boxes aren’t great for WiFi. It might be beneficial to put the ISP box into modem mode and connect it to a separate router with a WAN port to really enhance your internet experience, especially if your WiFi is spotty.
Sounds like your provider gave you a gateway box, which is usually a modem and router combo. If they provided the LAN cable for better connectivity, you can connect your Ethernet cable from your device to one of the LAN ports on that gateway. You can use both LAN and WiFi together from their setup just fine.
You can definitely use your router for WiFi as long as you connect the LAN cable from your provider to one of the LAN ports on your router. Just make sure to set up your router to manage your WiFi settings. However, since your router doesn't have a WAN port, double-check that it can still properly configure its network settings to provide wireless access. If everything's good, you should be all set!
