Can I Use PWM Case Fans with SYS_FAN and PUMP_FAN Ports on My Motherboard?

I'm working on my first PC build and I'm trying to choose the right motherboard. I'm considering the MSI B650 Gaming Plus and I want to know if I can connect PWM case fans to the SYS_FAN and PUMP_FAN 4-pin connections. My plan is to hook up four case fans along with the CPU fan. Any advice would really help!

Yes, you can plug PWM case fans into the SYS_FAN and PUMP_FAN ports. However, it's generally recommended to reserve those for the CPU cooler and any AIO pump you might have, as they often default to running at full speed. If you're connecting multiple fans, consider using a fan hub for better control.

Just a heads up, it might be possible for BIOS to control the speed of a PWM fan connected to the PUMP_FAN header, so it doesn't always run at max. You could check that out!
