Hey there! I'm wondering if the Samsung 980 and 990 SSDs can work together on the same motherboard. I've got a 1TB Samsung 980 installed already, and I want to know if I can add a 990 to get a total of 2TB. Will they be compatible and show up correctly on my computer? Thanks for any help!

Yes, they can work as separate drives without any issues. Just make sure your motherboard supports both NVMe drives in their respective M.2 slots.

Will everything show up in the same folder or something?

Check your motherboard manual to confirm if the M.2 slots support NVMe. Some boards might have specific compatibility issues, so it's good to double-check.

Nope, they’ll appear as two distinct drives in your computer. If you want to combine them using RAID, remember that would limit the total speed to the slower drive, and you’ll lose some storage to redundancy. So if your goal is just more storage, adding the drive is the way to go!
