I have a question about my power supply setup. I own an 850W Toughpower GF A3 from Thermaltake and I'm using a Gigabyte OC 7800XT paired with a 5600X. Instead of connecting one double-headed 6+2 PCIe cable to my GPU, can I use two separate 6+2 PCIe cables, each connected to the PSU? I've noticed some power consumption issues, with a warning light flashing on the smaller connector of the dual cable, so I'm wondering if this setup is safe and efficient given my setup's power draw.

Yeah, it's actually better to use two separate cables! Your setup will likely be more stable that way.
Using two different cables isn’t strictly necessary with a 263W TDP GPU; daisy-chaining should be fine. Just remember that the safety margin on 6+2 pins is over 50%, but they might get a bit warm under load.
Interesting! I actually found out that the flashing light on my cable was due to some manufacturing damage to my PSU. I pulled out the cable, and it was melted!
I knew it! But sometimes I get paranoid about trusting advice online. I guess I was worried Google AI would lead me astray.
