I'm feeling a bit uneasy about my computer security after a few risky clicks last year. I ended up on some sketchy sites and even downloaded videos from Redgifs. I've since scanned my PC using Windows Defender and Malwarebytes, but they found nothing. Recently, I encountered a strange pop-up from Windows Security and noticed an unfamiliar icon flash on my Taskbar before Windows Media Player opened normally. This has got me worried! I've also scanned with Bitdefender and HitmanPro, but still no threats. Is there any surefire way to check if I'm malware-free? I'm quite paranoid and could really use some solid advice or reassurance.

Running an offline scan could really help! Also, keep an eye on your Task Manager for any weird activity. If Defender flagged something, check its history for clues. If you're still feeling anxious after all that, consider reinstalling your OS—that can wipe out any persisting issues like rootkits. Learning more about cybersecurity can also ease your mind!
It sounds like you've done a good job with your scans! To be really thorough, you might want to boot from a USB with Hitman Pro or even other AV tools like ESET, Trend Micro, or Kaspersky. Scanning overnight is a good idea, just to let everything run its course. If those come back clean, you should be in the clear!
What about my tablet? I sometimes transfer music to it, do I need to check that too?
