Can My Friend’s Old PC Run Valorant with Windows 11?

I'm helping my friend fix their PC, and we're running into a problem with secure boot. They upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and now Valorant is saying their system isn't suitable for the game. I came across some info online suggesting that her model might be too old to support secure boot, which I confirmed through a thread. TPM issues seem manageable, but I can't find any secure boot options. Is there any way around this, or are we stuck unless we downgrade back to Windows 10?

Before making any changes, always back up the data in case something goes wrong. It’s a good idea to check your BIOS settings and make sure everything is configured correctly. There are resources available if you need help with the setup, like an FAQ thread on Windows 11 issues that might provide more insight.

I’m curious about what model the PC is. Typically, anything from the 8th generation and later will support secure boot. If it’s older, you might be out of luck. Sometimes a firmware update can enable those features, so it’s worth checking that first.

If you can access the BIOS, try setting an Administrator password, as it might uncover additional settings you can modify. Also, make sure to show the boot options; that might help in pinpointing the issue better.
