Hey everyone, I'm looking to upgrade my storage from a 1TB Lexar NM620 to either a Samsung or WD Gen5 4TB NVMe SSD. My question is, can my Gigabyte Z890 Eagle motherboard handle both my RTX 5070 graphics card and the Gen5 M.2 NVMe SSD using full PCIe 5.0 lanes? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, your motherboard should be able to handle both the RTX 5070 and the Gen5 NVMe SSD without issues. If there were any compatibility concerns, it would typically be mentioned in the specs for the expansion slots or storage. You can check the official product page for detailed specs.

Thanks for the info! I found some additional details about the expansion slots. It says: "The PCIEX16 slot can only support a graphics card or an NVMe SSD. If only one graphics card is to be installed, make sure to use the PCIEX16 slot." Do I just need 4 lanes for the PCIe 5.0 NVMe?
