Can My PC Run the New Oblivion Game?

My partner is really eager to play the newly released Oblivion, but they're worried that my PC might not be able to handle it since it's a few years old. I'm trying to figure out if it can run the game, and if not, what upgrades I should consider.

Here's what I currently have:
- Processor: AMD RYZEN 7 1800X 8 Core 3.6GHz
- Graphics: GeForce GTX 1600 6GB PCI Express 16X

The game requires:
- Processor: AMD RYZEN 5 2600x or Intel Core i7-6800K
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700 or NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti

The recommended specs are:
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X or Intel Core i5 10600K
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6800XT or NVIDIA RTX 2080

I'm looking for guidance on whether I can run it as is and if I need to upgrade, what would be the best options?

Your PC should be able to run Oblivion, but don’t expect stellar performance. It can launch the game and play it, but things might get a bit choppy. If you're aiming for decent performance, I’d suggest looking into upgrading your graphics card or processor, depending on your budget. You can find some good upgrade options in the $100-200 range, but some can go much higher. Also, make sure you have an SSD to avoid long load times!

Yeah, the SSD is a relief! I want my partner to enjoy the game without breaking the bank. We just found out we’re expecting, so we’re trying to be mindful of our spending!
