I'm building a small form factor (SFF) HTPC and I'm looking for a GPU that can run games at 4K 60fps on medium settings without breaking the bank. My setup includes a Ryzen 5 9600X and 32GB of DDR4 RAM at 6000 CL30, powered by a 750W PSU. I've been eyeing the 9060XT with 16GB of VRAM, but I'm not sure if it will meet my needs based on what I've seen in benchmarks. It's crucial for me to keep the cost under $500 and the card size limited to specific dimensions. Are there better options out there?

If you're considering AMD, the 9070XT is a much better option for 4K gaming at 60 fps. I just got one, and it handles medium settings pretty well. Just a heads up though, in 2025, finding a solid 4K GPU under $500 will be a tall order; you might want to look at 1440p gaming instead.
You might spot a 7800XT for under $500, and it does decent 4K.
Most games won't run at 60 fps on the 9060XT at 4K. Check out benchmarks which reveal average fps for various games—many struggle to hit that mark.
Keep in mind that the games chosen for these benchmarks are usually the most demanding ones, so you'll likely get better fps at high settings rather than ultra.
The 9060XT could handle some older games at 4K, but new titles might struggle unless you dramatically lower the graphics settings. You might be disappointed with performance on the latest releases at those settings.
You could look for a used RTX 3080; it’s closer to 4K performance, especially with DLSS.
