I'm putting together my first PC and I'm considering using the Ryzen 5 7600X3D with an AMD 9070XT GPU. My goal is to game at 1440p with over 70 fps. I'm trying to figure out if the 7600X3D will bottleneck the 9070XT. I'd prefer to stick with it since I found a good bundle at Micro Center, but if it's not going to perform well together, I might switch to the Ryzen 7 7800X3D package instead. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

In gaming, especially at higher resolutions like 1440p and 4K, the GPU typically plays a bigger role than the CPU. The X3D CPUs shine at lower resolutions, but for 1440p, you should be totally fine with the 7600X3D.
The 7600X3D is actually a fantastic gaming CPU and pairs really well with the 9070XT. You shouldn't have any bottleneck issues with this combo. It's well-optimized for gaming, especially at 1440p where the performance difference between CPUs diminishes. Stick with it!
Honestly, the 7600X3D is more than enough for gaming with the 9070XT. You’ll likely hit your frame rate goals without any problems.
Thanks for the reassurance! That’s what I was hoping to hear.
