Can This PC Build Handle Modern Games Like Rust?

I'm considering this entry-level gaming PC build I found online and want to know if it can handle modern games like Rust at low to medium settings. My budget is around €700. Additionally, I want to play with my friends on Xbox using the Xbox app—will this build outperform an Xbox Series X? If there are any major red flags with the build or suggestions for upgrades, I'd love to hear them since I'm not very familiar with PCs.

If you're just linking the PCPartPicker list, it should handle most games at 1080p without issues, and maybe even 1440p on low settings. For your budget, it’s a solid choice since those lists typically have well-matched components.

I get that; I was wondering if there are any major flaws with it!

Just a heads-up, console games are highly optimized, making them perform better than expected even if the specs suggest otherwise. In a comparison, the Series X will likely outperform your build due to its custom AMD hardware. For about $500, a console might actually give you a better experience if you're aiming for higher resolutions. Still, this build should manage most games well at 1080p, especially if you're okay with lowering some settings.

Thanks for the insights, I appreciate it!

Your build looks fine for casual gaming. Just a heads-up, though—consider swapping out the 2x8GB RAM sticks for 2x16GB. It might add a bit more to the cost but it's a worthwhile investment for future gaming.

Alright, thanks for the tip!

The Xbox Series X is closer in performance to a RX 6700 GPU, so keep that in mind. When you mention playing through the Xbox interface, I assume you refer to the Xbox app?

Yeah, that’s what I meant!
